So I was finally able to get hold of my hardrive containing a lot of my previous work!
And I would like to share some of my favourite pieces from it :)
Time Project
I worked on a project based around the theme of time.
The brief was to create time in any shape or form you chose to promote something. I chose to create a promotional piece for the new release of Alice in Wonderland. I thought the relevance and timing of the film couldn't be more perfect for my project as the storyline itself is set outside a timezone, almost stuck in time.
I chose to create a sculpture.

First Attempt
Experimenting with material |
|
I wanted to use something that was significant to Alice In Wonderland so I focused on the madhatters party. I experimented with teacups and saucers and the different materials which would enable me to capture the theme of been stuck in time, as if time had frozen. I decided quick-set plastic was what I was going to use.
I practiced with the plastic (see above) before making my final piece.

Finished Sculpture |
I finished my sculpture!
Images are slightly poor but still extremely pleased with my final outcome :)
This can still be seen at Wilberforce Sixth Form College.
Net Design
I was given a brief to create a flower packaging design for the Royal Horticultural Society. I absolutely love to paint and collage so I wanted to use this to create my design. I always keep a working sketchbook to collect ideas for what I am working on. I scanned some of my related pages into the computer and edited them to create a background design for my net. I painted tulips to use as the packaging imagery, and added the text. Job Done :)
